A long long time ago in a land far away I remember our teacher asking us this one question: 

“What do you want to be when you grow up?” 

And if you’re anything like me you would’ve said something random that sounded cool. 

An astronaut, a zoo keeper, a fire fighter. Idk. 

Because honestly, how could a seven year old possibly know what to start working on 15 years from now? And why tf would that be a consultant. 

A few decades later and we’re at the same spot. With AI eating our lunch and the world around us changing as you’re reading every word of this, we’re all wondering what’s next. 

But I’m going to ask you a different question, one that I wish my teacher asked me all those years ago.

“What do you want to build right now?” 

What is it that you want to tinker with, obsess about, spend your nights and weekends working on? 

And if you have an answer for that, well I might have something for you. 

Because I’m building the Forma Fellowship. It’s a tribe, for people like you who don’t want to be lost in retirement plans but have something that they’re passionate about right now. 

Maybe its building Africa’s first remittance app. Maybe its putting a quant in everyone’s pocket. Maybe its a kick ass game. 

Whatever it is, I’m collecting people like you who want to build stuff - now. Together we’re going to be internet pirates building our own future. 

We’ll stop obsessing over ideas and just, you know… ship it. We’ll find our first 1000 customers by hook or by crook. Change course mid-voyage. Morph and shapeshift if we have to. We’ll learn to write better, sell harder, and capture people’s imagination.

And maybe along the way we find some bounty in the form of capital.
